Try-its:
- Look around you.
- Identify two females who have the potential of becoming great in their careers.
- Write down two things that you can share with them that would guide them to reaching their potential. Put the ideas on a note card and put it on their desk or send it to them. You can call it “A Mentor’s Thought”.
- Look around you (not just in your office but also in your community)
- Identify one person who has the qualities that you would like to achieve.
- Write down one a question that you would pose to them.
When given the opportunity ask them and then LISTEN. Books:

Kick butt actions:
To find a mentor for yourself:- Define what you need help with.
- Join professional associations and networking groups to meet and identify potential mentors.
- Get involved. Talk to a variety of people.
- Identify who has what you want or need.
- Get to them. Offer to help them with a project (volunteer for them).
- ASK FOR HELP.
- Then listen, use or discard the advice.
- SHARE about your Decisions and outcomes. (There is nothing more frustrating for mentors than not knowing what you did and if you are successful after they helped you.)
To be a mentor:- Listen.
- Ask questions.
- Share your own Experience, Strength and Hope and how you cope in a similar situation.
- Offer your thoughts.
- Don’t expect to hear about the outcomes. You won’t be disappointed.
