Expect Good Things to Happen To You

Wallace D. Wattles shares

“Every (wo)man has the natural and inherent power to think what he wants to think but requires far more effort to do so than it does to think the thoughts which are suggested by appearances. To think according to appearance is easy; to think truth regardless of appearances is laborious, and requires the expenditure of more power than any other work (wo)man is called upon to perform.”

You can think about what you really want to think and you can expect really good things to happen to you.

What is see is what you get. If you are seeing through a victim’s eyes, see limitations and expect failure and then that is what you will see and that is what will appear. Even when amazing, miraculous experiences are happening around you, because of your focus on negativity you won’t see the good, amazing, results.

Appearances are only a reflection of your state of mind.

If you only add two new thoughts to your mind today let them be this “I expect greatness” and “Good things happen to me

Expect greatness

What is greatness? Greatness is daily living doing your best in every aspect of your life. Greatness is the knowledge that you can be who you want to be and are willing to value yourself, know you are an amazing person and choose excellence in your life. That you believe and have repetitive thoughts that you are great and important in your life.

Let me be clear. It is not that you are better than anyone else, or that you are #1 beating out all others.  It is you being great for you.  It is knowing that you can be a little bit better than you are right now and wanting to get there. It is clearly communicating to yourself that you are a valuable, capable, worthwhile individual and can be more than you are right now and recognizing that you expect to be more than you are right now. It is all about you growing and expanding. It has nothing to do with anyone else. No competition at all, no comparison to anyone else. You can have role models, people who have done what you dream of doing, they are the only inspiration for you, not competition. If they can do it so can you.  Greatness is more than achieving. greatness is about being. Being the kind of person who is happy, joyous, satisfied and eager for more, eager to experience more.

Which leads to the second perspective and belief

Good things happen to you

You are the only person to decide this for yourself. You have to decide that good things happen to you all the time. It is important to think it, feel it and expect this to be true for you.

Most people begin to embrace this thought by using a mantra, chant or affirmation. “Everything happens for my highest good” for instance. I had trouble with that one because of my beliefs from long ago about punishment and discipline “I am doing this for your good” WHACK. That wasn’t a positive and helpful chant for me.

I switched it to “everything happens for my highest most magnificent good” That one work addition changed everything for me. I can get behind that mantra.  You do what feels amazing to you. Then repeat it over and over.  When people talk to you about ‘realities of life” just joyously respond “everything happens for my highest, magnificent good”  don’t be surprised by startled looks. Most people won’t do the work I’ve outlined here and most people would rather believe in bad things or poor things happening than good things happening.  Know good things happen to you all the time.

Take the time to think over and over. “Good things happen to me always” spend time in quiet contemplation that this is true.  Your continual thoughts create beliefs (repetitive thoughts), and they reap results for you because you act confidently, knowingly and joyously.  It works powerfully.

Hang out with people who think this way. Be that person for you

Being with people who are positive, uplifting and seeing the optimist way is healthy.

Making yourself positive and uplifting is an inside job, you want to nurture the idea that you are better than where you are now, that you have the internal resources to be your best self. Prosperity, opportunity, health, love, joy are attracted to you when you nurture the internal dialogue of love for yourself.
